1 Day GIBBON JUNGLE TREK – FULL DAY TOUR ITINERARY (D1):
* * June to September is rainy season so the walking track can be wet and slippery which makes the trek more difficult* *. This schedule may change in case of extreme weather conditions, emergency or other unusual circumstance.
Morning Start – 5:15 – 6:00am Pick-up & drive to the Seima Protected Forest (35km from Sen Monorom).
6.00– 11:00 am Arriving at the ‘Seima Protected Forest’, Meet your Bunong local ranger and begin the day with a short scenic hike into the rain forest. Listening to Gibbon voice, following and having the chance to potentially observe a rare viewing to see them in wild. You take a break for a small breakfast of some bread and fruit and then continue to explore other animals and the nature around you. There is also a chance to spot birds, insects, and rare flora and fauna on the hike.
11.00 – 1.30pm Cooking lunch & Lunch break by a scenic spot in the jungle. Relax in hammocks, whilst having the opportunity to view local birds & other wildlife in this area.
1:30 – 3:30pm After lunch, you continue your trek through the jungle to continue to observe the wildlife and jungle scenery. Your local guide will show you bats living inside the tree hole and bear print climbed up on tree.Trek through a stunning bamboo forest and then head back to the truck.
3:30 – 4:30pm You will drive to visit / swim at Leng Kaov waterfall before return to Senmonorom.
Included in price; Community Development Found, Pick up and drop off at the guesthouse in Senmonorom, lunch and breakfast, drinking water, waterfall are all included.
What you need to bring with you in preparation for day hikes and visits:
- Comfortable footwear for hiking (shoes might get wet during river crossings).
- Binoculars ( if you have ).
- Swimming costumes and towel
- Long sleeved cloths to wear during the day (clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty).
- A hat and sun cream/protection.
- Insect repellent.
- Camera.
- Meal are included, you may bring additional snack foods.
