We are locally run project and the newest Elephant Project in Mondulkiri, Cambodia. Mondulkiri Gibbon & Wildlife Safari is a self supported project (No donation support). There is some money from people visiting the project but it is very small amount and not enough to support the whole project and do what we want. Happy lucky
Happy Lucky is 53 years old. She weighs approximately 5 tones.
Happy Lucky is owned by 5 families. She is one of the biggest elephants in Mondulkiri and healthy. She is close friend of G-Ben. Happy Lucky eats anything and eat a lot, she eats about 4 hundreds each day of bamboo, grass, leaf, plants, roots such more and more…
Happy Lucky is crazy for bananas, every time she hears or meet tourists, she always walks fast towards them and check for bananas. Her mahout’s name is Sok.
Mr Pon
Mr Pon is from Putang village. He is 45 years old and weight about 5 tones. Normally Asian male elephants have tusks but Mr Pon dose not have his tusks as they were broken when he was younger. He is thin and tall with long trunk. Mr. Pon is friend with Happy Lucky but more that friend with G-Ben as they fell in love and sometimes want to make baby. Mr. Pon is always following tourists for bananas and sugar cane.
G- Ben
G-Ben is from a Bunong Tribal village called Pulong about 15 kilometers from Senmonorom. She is a little Princess at the project as she is youngest and smallest elephant among the 3 elephants at our sanctuary. She is 37 years old with about 3.5 tonnes. G-Ben is the best friend of Happy Lucky as they come from the save village and have spent all their life living, eating, relaxing and playing together.
